After decades in financial services, I saw a disturbing truth: many mainstream investments fuel war, inequality, and environmental harm. Companies behind weapons and destruction are often top picks in global portfolios - recommended without question. Retail investors, seeking returns, unknowingly fund conflict and suffering. That changed when I discovered Islamic finance. Its principles demand ethical, value-based investing that benefits society, not just shareholders. This inspired me to be building up a halal fintech platform - giving Muslims and ethical investors a way to grow wealth with purpose, not at the cost of others.
